Cash Account Process
In line with the WFP Cash-Based Transfers Business Process Model (CBT BPM), the cash account process in SCOPE facilitates the distribution of cash to beneficiary accounts through a Financial Service Provider (FSPFinancial Service Provider).
There can be various account structures within the following:
- Individual beneficiary accounts (e.g. bank accounts, e-money accounts with mobile money providers, or other financial institutions such as virtual accounts for prepaid cards)
- A WFPWorld Food Programme account with sub-accounts (and linked debit cards) allocated to each beneficiary
In either case, beneficiaries will have several alternatives for withdrawing, transferring, or paying with cash (subject to any applicable restrictions), or redeeming value vouchers, including:
- Bank branch counters
- Automated teller machines (ATMs)
- Cell phones
- Online banking
-
Contracted retail shops
