Overview
A food basket is a virtual container that contains the entitlements to be distributed to beneficiaries. It can contain more than one commodity as part of the entitlement. It is used in interventions that use commodity vouchers.
Who is responsible for setting up a food basket?
Programme is responsible for setting up a food basket. Check with your Country Office to confirm who in Programme is responsible in your country.
Why is setting up a food basket important?
Food baskets are used to set what a beneficiary is entitled to and provides SCOPE with the value of the entitlement. The payment list requires this information to be able to process the distribution.
What do I need to do before setting up a food basket?
You need to be familiar with the Programme plan for the intervention so that you know what commodities need to be part of the food basket. In addition, any commodities you want to add to the food basket need to be set up on SCOPE.

Instructions
To set up a food basket, log in to SCOPE and perform the following steps:

In the Country Office page, click the intervention that you want to add a food basket to.

In the Intervention page, click .

In the Commodity Baskets list page, click .

In the Create new food basket page, enter the food basket details and add the required POS commodities to the food basket.
